You didn’t touch a nerve I just thought it proper to expose my background considering so many these days take internet videos as expert advice.
Remember all my formal training was in large commercial and military vehicles.
Maybe it’s not so important with a small vehicle…

My last comment on the subject.
Up here most people get 25 to 30 k on a set of brakes at best. Tires maybe 30k if your careful and slow down for curves. It’s almost All turns and never on level ground up here. I drove my van up here for a bit more than 30k before I traded it and these brakes already had 60k of 90% interstate mileage. A few months before I traded this Ford van on my bs the dealer said my front brakes were at 40% and my rears were at 30%.
I tend to roll and never do the light to light race that so many do.
Over heating brakes let you experience brake fade. I have never had this happen. To each his own.
