I will let everyone know what the outcome is, the dealership has requested some type of financial compensation from Ford, I’m just waiting for the response. The vehicle is less than 3 years old but has 76,000 miles, so not under warranty. Here is some info for some Bronco Sports (8F35 transmission)… potential reverse gear failure caused by a snap ring not fully seated during assembly

I was also burned two months ago when a different dealership would not warranty the catalytic converter even though it is covered to 80,000 because they said it had been “tampered” with. There were supposedly two arrows on the part that should have been aligned, but weren’t, and they said it had been tampered. That was $1600. I took it to a private shop then and they showed me the cracked assembly that was allowing the exhaust leak that I was smelling in the cabin.
