I have had my Bronco Sport FE since March. Less than 6k miles and no off-roading — yet, but I blew out the sidewalk on one of my stock Falken Wildpeak AT 236/65R17 tires. Fortunately I was only a block from my house when this happened and I purchased the Ford tire protection plan. If you have these tires, inspect your tires for possible weak spots.

If there was no apparent damage from hitting something, I would think the tire manufacturers warranty would cover a sidewall blowout for no reason.

I didn’t have to pay anything to have it replaced. I am not sure how the Ford dealer handled this on the back end. They may have filed it with Falkan as a product defect. I don’t know.

I had it on my last car and it replaced a wheel, 2 tires, and a couple nail plugs. It was totally worth it. Had I not bent the wheel on a NYC pothole it might have been a loss. I ended up getting it again anyway, love the extra peace of mind.
