There’s no good tires that come in 235/70/17. That’s more the problem

Thank you for reaching out @Jrl!

235/70R-17 is roughly 30-inches tall which will work on your rig when paired with the OE wheels.
Here's the link to the options we offer in this particular size:

235/70R-17 Tire Options | Discount Tire

As RiotfunK mentioned, selection is somewhat limited however there are options I see available in both all-terrain and highway tread designs. 245/65R-17 may be a consideration for you as well and opens the door to more options.

There is one good tire that comes in this size, as I've posted before and reviewed in this video and that's the winner of this test, the Firestone Destination A/T2. But one could argue that tires x, y and Z aren't available in that size, so no good tires and that this is just the best of what was tested and is available in 235/70/17.

I totally understand wanting to upgrade your ride's tires. From what I know, going up in diameter is a pretty common upgrade. As for your question, I checked around and found that a 235/70/17 tire should fit your ride perfectly fine. In fact, I used a handy tool called TireSizesCalculator.com to double-check the size recommendations. It's a great resource for finding the right tire size for your specific make and model.
