I thought I read posts the body panels are so thin an automatic non-touchless car wash will dent the panels.

I gas up at 6am at Costco on Saturday. If it looks dirty, on the way home I'll take it to a touches car wash for $8.00, including tax. It doesn't always get the bird [redacted] and bugs off, but it's good enough.

The only car washes I use are either those bays where you hose, wipe down and dry the vehicle yourself or the touch-less ones where nothing but soap, water and drying air touch your car. Washing it myself is done during nicer, milder weather. During the colder months I’ll usually use a touch-less car wash, but even then I’ll still wipe off the windows, lights and such with my own towel afterward.

I can also appreciate the occasional hard rain that cleans the car when I’m at work. 😁

It’s always nice to have a clean car, but during stretches of variable weather you can’t obsess over it. Otherwise it can make you crazy.

Please say you're u go through a touchless wash... Winters in Michigan I do a weekly pass through a touchless wash with a underbody spray... If you're worried about your antenna get the recommended stubby... Brush washes are just bad... All the other cars that pass through get to share their grime with you and like mentioned before it will eventually damage the paint...

I've gone through automatic car washes with my Badlands and didn't remove the antenna or fold the mirrors in, have not had any issue's. I would be careful about how often you do it, so the clear coat doesn't end up getting damaged.
Yes, I was really into taking care of my bronco when I got it and I got some swirls in the black plastic pieces on the B/C pillar trim from the automatic car wash. I got a car wash kit and bucket soon after that, but bummed about the swirls.

I have not had a problem with the antenna off or folded in my mirrors. No issues yet. There is a touch free one near me that does a decent job, but even the one that touches no issues. Wasn't even that was a thing.
