Recently when I got my oil changed and tires balanced and rotated, the tech told me one of my rear shocks was leaking. So I took it to Ford to have it checked out. I was mostly skeptical that they would say it was ok, but I wanted it documented. The service writer said it would need to be leaking over half way down the shock. HMMM.
However they said it would be warrantied. 17000miles and I also have Ford Premium Care plan for 100000 miles.
They didn't have the part in stock but said they would get then by the next day, so I left my Bronco there. They called me the next day and said it was all done. I picked it up and when I got home I looked at the paperwork and they replaced both rear shocks. No charge. Awesome.
My skepticism comes form the dealership I bought it from tried to extort $195.00 from me for a TPMS that failed. They did cover it but I won't return to that dealership.
Also I found a tire shop near me that does full synthetic oil changes and tires rotation with balancing for $130. Ford wants more to balance your tires.
Anyway, I think it was a good day.
