Hey all,

As my title states, is it possible to leave to the Sunroof tilted up while parked and draw the sunshade in like 3/4 of the way in? I ask this because when I push the button to draw the shade in after tilting the sunroof up, the sunroof will just go back down and the shade will go in....I don't want that!! I am wondering if there is a hack or something I'm missing??

On previous Honda or Toyota vehicles I've had, you are able to do this since the shade is a manual close type. This is the first Ford I've had where there is a separate button for the shade..... I'm just trying to let some air in while parked, but keep the sun out LOL.

Seems like there is your answer. No hack, nothing being missed. Sorry.

Man I'd think so? I don't have a sunroof...but my challenger I could do that. Hit a button and the vent activated and I could push the sun shade partially open

Way back when, I had a car with a manually operated hand crank instead of an electric starter, and a hand operated throttle instead of cruise control. In with the new, out with the old! Hand operated moon roof shades will also soon be a thing of the past, and for BS owners, the past is now!

You could try screwing it up by opening the shade, start to close it and then turn off the power before it closes completely. Just open the door before it closes all the way to stop it from moving. Then hold down the open button for the sunroof, hit the start button and see if the window moves and the shade stays still. I doubt it will, but you never know with what Ford did or didn't test. Fair warning though: if you screw up your sunroof, you might have to have it looked at to get the synchronization fixed.

You can’t. It auto closes the roof when you try to close the shade some
