3700 miles and my flywheel snapped. It was having a small noise that sounded like a fan sound. I actually had an appt for investigation of that noise the next day already set up. Other than that it was running and then all of a sudden it would not accelerate at all. Once it was turned off it would not start. I had to coast to the edge of the highway. 9.5 weeks later it was repaired. Two days after getting back again having issues with going in and out of drive mode. So its back at the shop.

Light weight small flywheel in a three banger. Did you load it down inside or on top or pull a load ?
Any hard acceleration climbs ?
Or just easy normal driving ?

Not that it makes a big difference, but I'm guessing he has the 2.0L.

Roger that ! But I would assume the 2.0L would have a heavier stronger flywheel. My 1.5L gives almost no engine braking when it downshifts while in cruise control going down a grade. I figure that to partly be a light flywheel and crank.

Hi there, LeAnn! This definitely doesn’t sound like the experience we want you to be having. If you'd like to, go ahead and send a private message to us with your VIN and dealership info. I’d be happy to look into this for you. Thanks!
