Seat covers

Hi, expecting delivery of my sport any day now. I want to order seat covers to protect my front seats. I have heated seats, dumb question can I put any kind of universal size/ material on them and anyone have ones they love that don't cover the mole straps on the back?

I'm reading that covers are a no no because heater seats. Gonna stress me out not protecting them.

Not sure why seat covers are frowned on with heated seats.
Seems the heat element would be regulated by a thermostatic On/Off cycle.
Really, what would be the difference if I were wearing insulated bib overalls without a seat cover?

I wouldn't know, there us a thread on here that says it's a no, and ford says in the manual no.
