How do I get this boot to reseat on the body side of the door jamb? Had to pop it to run some wiring and now it won't go back in. Does the rubber need to wrap over the white plastic then push in? it's not cooperating!

Just did that same boot above the tailgate running my dash cam to the rear window.
The rubber has a lip that slips over the white plastic. So I worked that off of the plastic than the white plastic pops right out. It’s a tight fit, which is good. you can be rough with it getting the rubber lip off of the plastic. I hope that makes sense

Edit: im an idiot and just saw you asked how to reseat it. For me it was literally just man handling it to stretch over the lip working clockwise. I even used needle nose pliers, careful not to rip the rubber, and pulled to get it to slip over

Since the backside for this boot is hard to get to, I’d seat the backside as best I could first than do all the pulling on the front side

Awesome, thank you. I was afraid to manhandle it too much and break something.
