Hi, Do you have a roof-top solution you love? Please post a picture and links.

I have cross bars fron Amazon. They work well.

Will be taking a longer trip and will need more storage.

I carry bikes on the trailer hitch 2". So that is not available.

Thanks

I remove the box in winter as we get a lot of snow with temps below zero and the Badsport is parked outside, but when heading out on camping trips I mount a 14cf Thule box on the crossbars. On my old Xterra I used a rooftop basket but was always worried about thieves doing a snatch n run. Having a lockable box gives me some piece of mind. It could be broken into but that takes time and makes noise, plus there’s the out of sight deterrent.

Might be able to find locally under the brand name but this unit has TONS of lockable storage and opens from either side. I am using Amazon cross bars as well although the hardware needs replacing after 3 seasons. Solid unit that holds up to 250lbs. Bought it on sale for $325. Only drawback, you might need some rubber cushion strips for the u-bolts.

I have one that looks like @TheX basket. Mine is branded Rhino, but it isn't mounted on the BS. I bought it several years ago to use on our 03 JEEP Wrangler TJ.

I now have 7 saved in my amazon cart. I have the Harbor Freight unit on my jeep. It's fine. The main advantage of the rack on the Jeep is that I can see where the car is parked - from the door of the warehouse stores or Target. I would like the Bronco Sport to look better than the jeep.

Check Facebook Marketplace for some used ones. People are always selling nice ones for cheap.

If you are taking a long trip, IMO a box is a better choice than a basket. I used a basket on a very long trip and it was great, but annoying to pack, cover, and secure everyday. It's also just not safe leaving your stuff unattended in a basket. If you have oddly sized things you need to transport then the basket is best, but if you can fit the items in a box I'd go that way. I'm buying a box if I ever need to carry gear up top again on an extended trip.

If you do get a basket then make sure to get a nice bag to put all your stuff in and make sure you put the zipper facing to the rear. People always leave reviews on bags and say it leaked, and 9 times out of 10 it's because they put the zipper facing forward and drove through a storm.
