Hello,

I was curious if anyone has any products that can be applied on the roof of the bronco sport for paint chip protection.

I've seen a few clear coat/ PPF options but I was wondering if there's any products that offer a thicker shell. Maybe this is a wishlist of mine, but is there any products that offer a type of plastic / metal covering for the roof? I'd like to protect the paint as best I can and I figured a plastic or metal type adhesive would add a safari-type aesthetic to the vehicle (and peace of mind)

I have the sense I will need to seek a PPF quote but are there any alternatives?

We have seen clear protection films applied. here is a video on vinyl and paint protection films, an explanation of both and their benefits.
you could go that route or a ceramic coating could be another route you may consider.

Thanks for the information, I've decided to have the hood, roof and Hatch area covered with PPF, I figure those are the most prone areas. Depending on the price I may do the rest.

Hi Bluverish -
I would just say the all paint protection films are not created equal. I did a lot of research before choosing Xpel. I would suggest you see if you can find an authorized Xpel vendor in your area. They have a variety of films, different thickness and surface finish (high gloss, satin, etc.) They even have a product that is similar to bedliner in appearance that is SUPER tough. My research seemed to indicate this was even superior to 3M, which a lot of folks seem to think is the best just because it's a big, well-known company. I had ours done basically from the A-pillar forward -- hood, fenders, grill and (especially) headlights. Then I added the door edges just in case. Gloss on all but the grill which he did in satin to preserve the factory paint appearance. He even covered the BRONCO letters. I am very happy with the results. Hope this is helpful.

thank you,

it’s hard to find your insight because there’s a few key players that push the limited products they have.

I really appreciate the response!
