Are there any add-on's that the dealer will try to get me to purchase that are recommended and worth getting?

I did not take any dealer add ons. Figured I can buy an extended warranty before the 3/36 runs out. Had windows tinted and ceramic coat done by local businesses. I purchased OEM Floor liners and a few other accessories online.
Added fender flares, splash guards and the steelies.

Most "dealer add-ons" can be added later for less cost. I wanted the hood blanket and bumper protector. Ordered those in parts department and installed myself. Very easy. I also took later delivery of my crossbars and had them leave them right in the box for me to install later as needed. I've learned I can handle more than I thought for less money but would pay for something I would not feel comfortable installing myself.

Not currently a good idea. When it takes on average 10 days to get an appointment which they won't schedule till after a part comes in... You can order your parts online for cheap, have them within days and have a local garage install them for a fraction of the price

I'm just trying to throw the dealer a bone. They got me a really good price and wanted to spend some money just to help them out during the tough time of not having many cars to actually sell.

I never before thought I'd be so appreciative of floor mats, but they fit very good, and are functional.

The OEM mats are great and fit like a glove. I'd also recommend the cargo mat. Comes in handy when carrying items and if there are any spills.

I have always had floor mats in my vehicles. Toyota even had to give me new ones when they had the problem with the mat blocking the pedals and causing crashes.

Since I don't plan on taking my badlands off road at any point I opted for the front and rear carpeted floor mats as an option. No mud to wash out of the rug. The rubber ones do look nice though.

I expect people to ask why get the badlands trim if I am not going to take it off road. The answer is I wanted the bigger engine and the cyber orange, which was only available on the badlands at the time I decided what I wanted. Plus, skid plates. Lots of squirrels in the road around here. Big ones.

I bought the BL for the same reasons as you. I don't do off roading but I liked the 2.0 engine and the overall look with the wheels. I had a BB and it was a great vehicle, but when I saw the BL, I bought it on the spot.

OK. The squirrel thing got me laughing. I was picturing a 3 foot tall squirrel staring you down on the street!!!!

Yeah, we wanted things in the BL that other trims did not have. The 2.0 was a big reason. I have a 2011 FJ Cruiser if we want to really thrash it off road.

The OEM floor mats look and fit great. The only other item I wish I had ordered is the cargo management system. Functional and o think it would be great for resale value. It’s totally cost prohibitive to do after purchase.
