So several months ago I bought some of those vinyl stickers from an Etsy seller to put on the Bronco letters. I have a black Bronco with black lettering, so I wanted the name to actually stand out.

Fast forward to a month ago, I got in an accident. They had to replace the entire back gate, so I no longer have the lettering on there. However, it’s still on the front, because luckily I only got rear-ended. But I want to change out the color to a different one now from the one I bought (and the seller I originally bought from isn’t listed anymore). There’s another seller who makes these and I want to buy another set.

My question is, what’s the best way to go about removing the front lettering? Just peeling it off and then cleaning it with rubbing alcohol or goo-gone or something to make it fresh for the new stickers?

Any help is much appreciated!!

Exactly what you said is all that is needed for the vinyl overlays. Shouldn’t be much cleaning needed for your new ones.

A hair blower to warm up the decals makes them come off easier.

Why didn't the repair include new lettering on the back?
To restore it to the way you had it before the accident.
