Yesterday I got the "Oil Change Required" message at 14,380 miles. This is my second BS Badlands, had the first for three years and never saw this message. My current BS is a Badlands I bought in April 2025. My first oil change was in August of 2025 at 5,039 miles and four months and I started running full synthetic at that time. My intention is to change the oil every 5,000 miles as I live in Indio, CA and the weather is typically in the 100 to 110 range over six to seven months a year and it cand be quite windy and dusty as well. My second, and last, oil change was in December 2025 at 10,798 miles, so it has been less than 5,000 miles and only four months. Oil life shows 0%. I have no oil leaks in my garage. I did not check the oil life after the last oil change, could the dealer have forgotten to re-set the oil life, or is is some how automatic when the oil is changed? I can not take it in today as my wife has appointments, but will take it in first thing the next day. Am I likely to have any problems with the vehicle or Ford's attitude towards my warranty? Thanks in advance for responses.

The oil change indicator most likely was not reset during your last oil change. If you google it you can find out how to do it.
Generally, i ignore that because like you i change my oil every 5K miles or 6 months. Whichever comes first.
