Due to a recall that affects all Bronco Sports built this year, Ford issued a Stop Ship order for defective brake pads. A remedy isn't expected until January 2022. Looks like the November 2022MY Bronco Sports will be replacing the June 2021MY Bronco Sports in the Desert Rat Pack.

A Stop Ship was issued at Ford’s Hermosillo Assembly Plant (HSAP) and Louisville Assembly Plant (LAP) on November 9, 2021.

The effected production date window ended on 11/11, which if I am not mistaken they had push all 2022MY production dates beyond. So I don't think any 2022MY builds are effected.

Unfortunately there are some units that are affected. The main cause for concern with the 2022MY is that Ford has issued a StopShip on the Bronco Sports until they can get replacement parts to continue to build them.

YUp, the paperwork showed only 12 MY22 are affected, so at least the number is not that big.

I think the stop ship only is related to those MY22 that are listed in the numbers opf the recall which is 12 MY22s.

If it were all of them to date they would have included more of the 22s that were built after. They must have started building them without the issue right after those 12 that were built since they are continuing I to build them as we speak.

Those are the ones that Ford has "identified" currently. They have also stopped scheduling BS unit builds until the week of 01/24.

Where do you see that As far as 1/24? I just checked the most recent scheduling notes out on Blue Oval and nothing these says any scheduling is cancelled.

It was in the schedule that posts occasionally. It showed that the Mavericks were scheduled for builds on the weeks of 01/03, 01/10 and 01/17 with no Bronco Sport builds scheduled and on 01/24 the Bronco Sport builds started to be scheduled.

This is the schedule for the most current week. The 12/6 weekly schedule should be out soon so will post when it comes out.

I hope ppl dont get their vehicles put in yards to sit again. Cause once it gets put in the yard its a big mystery as to how long it will sit until Ford gets around to fixing and shipping. Might sit couple weeks or might sit for several months no one will know....

According to the documentation, Ford knew about the problem as early as October 1st.
I bet the '22s are gonna be shipped. Might be why "22 production was delayed for couple weeks?

I would hope so, the only unknown with everything with this is that Ford put a StopShip order on them.
