These round cross bars look kind of cool but they howl like a Typhoon at around 60 miles an hour. As soon as it arrives, a basket will go on top and I'll see how that will affect the noise.
The roof rack arrived and was installed, and to my surprise, it did not worsen the Hurricane sound I was experiencing with just the crossbars. The noise has been reduced to an acceptable low rumble. The fairing of the rack, unfortunately arrived with one end broken, I Superglued it the best I could while I wait on a replacement fairing. These round cross bars look kind of cool but they howl like a Typhoon at around 60 miles an hour. I test drove a FE at one dealer, the noise was unbearable. I decided I would take them off but then I ended up buying my FE at another dealer ($5k cheaper). I had them install the crossbars that came with it (assume they were the same?) But my current ones don't make any noise! So odd!!These round cross bars look kind of cool but they howl like a Typhoon at around 60 miles an hour. As soon as it arrives, a basket will go on top and I'll see how that will affect the noise.

I know, with these cross bars, you have to own a wind tunnel to test them. As soon as I put a cargo rack on it, the noise disappeared into a low rumble.I test drove a FE at one dealer, the noise was unbearable.
