How did you break in your BS when you first got it?

manual says first 1000 miles. Avoid towing, heavy acceleration and braking.

so I’m driving mostly gingerly. I’ve done a few modest accelerations going up onramps. Iā€˜m at nearly 1K so I’ll change the oil @ 1500 miles or so.

…then give it hell

Drove it like I stole it! JK, nothing extreme. No cruise control, no heavy acceleration or braking but I wouldn’t be too concerned either way. The manual will give you some guide lines.

Mine was a ā€œdealer loanerā€ for 4k miles before I got my hands on it. So I can’t say how it was driven before I got it, but it had its work cut out for it with me. I drive 100 miles a day full highway and fast lane.
I Can say that it feels a little different now compared to when I first got it. Granted I lifted it and got bigger tires and re-aligned 2 weeks into owning it. But it definitely feels like the village bicycle now
