So quick update and review. I ordered the car late November, got it in March and quickly, after 500mi had it in some dirt. After that its been your average mall crawler grocery getter and dog car. I'll be going up to Montana in a month so hopefully I'll be able to use it some more up there but who knows.

Its genuinely a good car. The 2.0L has good power, its easy to navigate in traffic. Its a tremendous dog car and the pups love it as well. I'm still loving the alto blue. The transmission is good, no stupid goofy limp wristed CVT so theres power when you need it. Steering is not superlight as well which is appreciated and the leather wrapped steering wheel is great as well. I like the interior. I know a lot of people complain about the plastics being used on the interior but I honestly think they're well done. No they're not as nice as my dad's fully loaded F-150 Platinum, then again the Badlands costs half as much, so compromises are to be made.
I have taken this off roading and it is exceptionally capable. Short of doing rock crawling, this car will do about everything outside of extreme terrain. The lockers work as intended so does the 4WD lock. Haven't used trail crawl yet.

Apparently I drank the seat hater-aid today because I'm going to comment about them. The experiences on here vary wildly with them, but I consistently find myself wanting/needing more support on my left leg. I chicken wing that leg when I drive and often I find my hip becoming uncomfortable. This doesn't happen in other cars and I've driven more than a few big miles. I find myself thinking of how I could add more support there. I could also use a tilt feature, my legs go numb, a tilt would help that. I also wish I would've gotten the co-pilot360 assist+ (Ford, help you consumers out work on those naming conventions) for the ACC. At the time I ordered my car I didn't place it, asked the dealer if they could add it to the sheet, they said if they did they would have to reorder it and at the time I was on a tight timeline for the car. I was driving family members and rentals and WFH seemed like it was going to be ending soon.
The car also needs more clearance. I find myself thinking about that often when I'm on the dirt, just like an inch or two more and the car would be dialed in. I'm certain Ford is aware of that and wonder if they'll make future models with increased clearance.
MPG isn't the best, but hey I bought the car, if it was my top priority I could've gone with someone that is more economical on the gas or gone with an OB.
Things I wouldn't like but have gotten used to:
I thought I was going to hate the rotary shifter nob. I like it know and find other cars that have the big shifter in the middle to be wasting space. Its not a bad compromise, it does the job and really opens up a lot of space. I've gotten used to what I call startle-start, aka auto-stop. When its hot and muggy I'll turn it off, in general I dont worry about it. I trust Ford has engineered it appropriately and they really haven't done a bad job with it.
Overall:
Really solid little car. It fits my lifestyle well and I enjoy driving it as well. No regrets on my purchase and I'm looking forward to putting more miles on it going ahead.
