Miles vs KM - General Settings

My recently acquired ‘21 BS Badlands keeps changing from miles to kilometers for odometer and MPG readings at random times - sometimes while driving, sometimes at fuel up time, sometimes at start up - I look haven’t detected a pattern yet, but it is very irritating.

Have any of you had this going on?

it Is easy to set back to miles, but why do I have to keep doing this?

Yeah, that's not right. Is it still under warranty? If so, you need to take it in.

That’s my plan, there are a few other things too. Yeah, 100K warranty. Just curious if others have seen this.

makes me wonder what other settings might be resetting themselves.

This is happening to me too! I can’t figure out a pattern yet. Please let me know if you were able to get it fixed.

Well, I finally got into the dealership where we bought our bunko and they did some resets...that lasted about 8 weeks or so...now it has reverted to its old tricks.

So, to Beejo, no, it is not fixed and the dealer's attempt did not hold for long. I am not sure that they did anything different than I have been doing. It has been random, or so it seems.

I am going to circle back to them on this. As I said earlier, it is easy to reset, but I would like to know why it happens and if there is a permanent fix.

I’d laugh about this being some odd Canuck thing, maybe even come up with a conspiracy theory or two. But mine stays in miles just fine so I got nothing! Good luck though in finding a permanent solution.
