I suspect the front brake calipers in my case. The pop happens upon releasing the brake, and when braking lightly over a rough road or rumble strip it rattles loudly along with the bumps. Knowing the poor tolerances on the rear caliper bushings (reverse moan sound), I'm guessing the caliper bushings are slopped out.
