Late To The Game

About a month ago my wife decided she wanted a BS after seeing one that our neighbor got. We started looking at the local dealers at ones on the lot and as you might expect didn't find much other than base models and a few BB's without any options. She is spoiled from riding in our F150 Platinum. Our search has focused on OB with OB package , BL with BL package both with the 360+ option within a 500 mile radius without luck. We ended up ordering a OB/OB package minus moonroof, 360 +, tow package, cargo management, cargo mat on 5/22. I have order confirmation from Ford but not much hope of it actually being built.

Would not think its being built yet as they are still trying to fulfill orders from February. Don't mean to be a downer but there are many orders placed before yours that have not been built yet. Take a browse through the forum and you will see.

Usually 4 or 5 months some times longer from order to delivery. But it should get built eventually. Like you have seen the lower trims low option models pretty easy to come by. Higher trims higher options those are usually sold long before being delivered to the dealer.

Late to the game here as well. Ordered an OB+OB (minus moonroof), tow, 360+, floor liners, cargo mat on 4/30. NO IDEA of projected production date.

I have read through just about every thread on the forum in regards to the the waiting list and production delays/parts availability/ plant shutdowns . The regional sales rep is saying Sept/October delivery date, probably even later. Still trolling the dealerships daily for a cancelled customer order.

Some ppl over on Facebook say they got high option BS cause someone special ordered and failed to show up and take delivery. But you would have to have relationship with dealer to grab one of those. Those won't be listed by the dealer they will get sold to those who keep contact with the dealer and can show up and grab it without delay. Lot of buyers looking to pounce no time to sit around and poo poo if one comes available.

That's exactly how I got my BS FE. Talking with my dealers General Mgr and New Car Sales mgrs. I really got lucky but perseverance pays off.

I found mine by spec’ing it out on the Ford site, then doing the.. search around you function, I think it’s called. It told me one that matched was at a local dealership so of course I went to see it - turns out it was still in transit and wouldn’t be there for a week yet, so I put a deposit on it and though the dealership said they’d keep me abreast of when it came in, I had to follow-up every day for status, even after I had paid and everything. I watched it come in via the shipping details and I think I let them know it had arrived on their lot before they even knew.
