I might buy a lifetime 10 ft kayak tomorrow but don't have a holder yet for my crossbars. Has anyone put one in the back with the seats folded and glass open? TIA

Is the lifetime kayak you're looking at a sit-in or a sit-on-top version? I have a 13' Perception and I will tell you the cockpit of the kayak will not fit in the window on the rear door. A sit-on-top model would probably fit, but I'd bring some stuff to anchor the kayak inside the vehicle and prevent side to side motion in the window.

Time for roof rail cross bars I would think.

The Yakima cross bars and Kayak racks worked great for me.
