Got my front pads replaced with the recall on My 2021 Ford BS Big Bend and ever since it makes a grabbing/grinding noise when I come to a stop in Drive or Reverse have taken it back to the dealership 4 times since the recall and get the same excuse..."There's No issue t the brakes" yet they have so much brake dust you can wipe it off and turn you hands black they're excuse for this is" they put softer pads on and ford's sound like this when You come too a stop its the brakes just engaging" so I say this vehicle has less than 30k miles show me another new or used on this lot with brake dust like this well didn't see one the water pump was going out they did fix that but tell me there is no replacement pads or Aftermarket even made for it I'm calling BS and it's ridiculous for us to spend this kinda money and there is no fix? Can some one lead me in the right direction to fix this issue......Thanks in Advance also Ford told me to take it to another dealership to get a second opinion yet the other dealership told me they would charger me $175 to check it out I've owned Fords my whole life this is my 1st new one and I'm very disappointed in this

I'll agree with the excessive brake dust since the replacement brakes went on... I usually get a wash every week so it never usually is an issue but I went 10 days without a wash and they were completely covered. But luckily when I took it to service, it was that brake dust that alerted me to them rotating my tires off schedule. Otherwise I wouldn't have know as it was not listed on the service order. Luckily they switched it back for me the following day.

My Transit Connect, 65% Interstate and the rest a mix of city and back country two lanes.
129,000 when I traded it for my BS,
Still on original factory brake pads.
Never any dust.
We are all buying Covid cars.
I swear, one day this will be known as the stupid virus.

wow that's alot of dust. i just had the brake recall done maybe 2 weeks ago, and i haven't seen any serious brake dust on mine. i do dive it like a lil old lady though, soft on the gas, coast, then super soft when braking.
it would be nice to see some aftermarket brakes too, i always ran EBC pads on my civics and they were solid.

There is a grinding/squeeky noise almost sounds like a bad shock when you come to a complete stop

That's definitely too much brake dust! Have nearly 10k miles on mine and wheels don't look anything like that...

On a different note, it's well known dealerships don't like warranty work... And even more so, warranty work on cars not bought from them :sunglasses:

Under warranty and the second dealer wanted $175 ? I’d call Ford back on that one.
2021 base model here.
25,000 miles and no brake dust at all.
Wait until you do the brake pad recall…….every other day it will look like this. Covered in dust

Again, @25,000 miles and I do not have dust. Never had a brake recall.
Mine was built in mid 2020, I think before any cost cutting or any sun standard parts were used.

Just did the finger test, lots of dust and I just washed it 4 days ago. The dealer said they are starting to get parts now and will call me when they are in.
