HVAC system:
I usually operate my HVAC manually, rarely using the AC, and preferring the windows open on even the hottest days (90+). A couple of times, when the OAT (Outside Air Tempeature) was 71 and 73F , the AC compressor was blowing very cold air from the vents. The AC light on the dash was not lit and the HVAC I was not in Auto mode. It has happened Intermittently, not repeatable, so unlikely a service visit would resolve it unless I could find a condition that made it repeatable.
I wonder if the cause was it happened on days of high humidity. On my previous car, ('17 Escape), I kept the HVAC temp at 66F, even though I was operating it manually. It did not blow cold air when operated that way.
On my '25 BS Badlands, changing the temp to a higher temp (higher than the ambient OAT) made no difference - it was still blowing very cold air.
