Forgive my ignorance but it has been a long time since I bought a car and I’m not familiar with buying brand new models. I know you have to order through a dealer, are people physically going into dealerships to order? Is there any negotiating with such a new vehicle or should I expect the MSRP that is on the Ford build and price?

You might search this forum for “mustang club”. It seems the best option for pricing if you can wait.

For example seehttps://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/2021-bronco-sport-price-list-msrp-dealer-invoice-pricing-all-models-trims-packages-options-accessories.1091/page-2#post-27021

If you are buying this time of year, and a dealer gets a few in, you might be able to deal a little. Car sales are slow mid-winter. The Sport is new and exciting but doesn't have the fanatical following of the larger Bronco. That said, it will depend on how much inventory is in your area and supply & demand. It never hurts to try.

You should expect to pay MSRP for this vehicle. Never hurts to try to negotiate better. Speak to multiple dealerships based on what they have on the lot or on order and play them off each other. Soandso offered this, but I like the color you have a little better - will you match their price? etc. And note that while you run around trying to get a better deal, someone content with paying MSRP will come along and buy one of them out from under you.

All comes down to what is more important to you: cost or immediacy. If it's the former, wait six months until things die down a little and dealers have some inventory. If you must have it now, plan for paying MSRP. Just my opinions of course, others may feel otherwise.
