Faint Circle on Rear View Mirror

I have a 22 Badlands. Doe anybody know what the faint looking circle is on the mirror itself? It is in the middle on the top. I am guessing it is for auto dimming, but just want to be sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No. The circle on mine is very faint and a lot bigger.
