Wow, yours shows 470m to E on a full tank? Best mine shows is 310m to E with a full tank of 91. I just hit 13k miles though. Maybe that's why? I do remember it was alot more optimistic about fuel range earlier in it's life.
I have a 23 obx and taking a drive in the country at 48 mph on mostly flat 55 mph roads i get 36 to 38 mpg

Since October 22nd, 2022, I left Franklin, NC to home in St. Petersburg, FL, about 620 miles of driving like a "bat of hell", than the rest of the mileage was city type driving. I just had my first oil change at 7850ish miles. Around city, no rush driving (like an old lady); doesn't make sense to rush to stop at a light / traffic.
I picked up my BS OBX exactly a year ago (March 28, 2022). I put more mileage than expected as hubby had knee replacement surgery, and I did all the driving before and after his surgery. Note: having 2 people, running A/C, and or, full tank of gas - extra weight, makes a difference of about 3 mpg. On highway with windows open makes too much noise.

I do alot of highway to and from town, if I drive 5 under it'll show 30-33. Usually 5-7 over tbh. If I reset my trip in both places, it still shows 310-340 depending on fill up. I assume this has an overall estimate from average driving habits?

I've also noticed the lights for the gauge do not start going down from the Full level until I'm below 210ish miles to E. I also have larger tires and a lift though, I know that has an effect on mpg. Dunno why fuel gauge doesn't go down sooner. Shrugs* Mines a 21 OBX as well, had 12miles on her the day we took home, I've done 3 oil changes so far.

I have to ask how so many people are getting that high of gas mileage. I have a Badlands and I know my engine is a bit bigger, but I am still at 19 mpg. I reset the mpg when I purchased the vehicle, but have not been able to break 20 yet. Any suggestions?
What did your window sticker say regarding expected mileage? Do you have a lead foot when you accelerate from a stop?

There you have it, "Hills". We get 29-32 MPG in out 1.5 going from home to the cottage, which is around 100 miles round trip. And it's basically up and down hills the whole way, 70-72mph. Or in Metric (for my fellow canadians), 7.5-7.9 l/100km on a 160 km round trip, and keeping pretty much to the 110 kmh speed limit.

The top 10 ways to get better fuel economy, according to AAA.

I'll add to this try to make as few short trips as possible, especially in cold weather. Being in Nova Scotia, the weather tends to be cooler; A cold engine is not good for fuel economy. The engine management system runs the engine extra rich (more fuel) when the engine is cold. The extra fuel is still burning when it exits the exhaust valve, which is meant to get the catalytic converter up to normal operating temperature as fast as possible. The catalytic converter cannot do its job of scrubbing exhaust gases until it reaches its operating temperature of 500F-800F.

Frequent short trips in cold weather means you are using gas to warm up the cat instead of to make your car go, and that means you will use more gas.

EDIT: I thought I was replying to a user in Nova Scotia, but Virginia ALSO get cold.

Pertaining to ECO mode, I'm going to have to see what my selection is set to. Whatever the dealership selected, that's what it is! I've paid no attention to that. The only thing I remember to do is press the disable auto start/stop button.

Them I realize how stupid I look when I reach up to the column to shift into drive!

Window sticker shows 21 city, 26 highway, 23 combined. I guess since I just under the city side and most of my driving is local, it isn't too bad.

Thank for sharing. I will be looking over this and seeing if I can make improvements.
