Question about Bronco Sport folding mirrors.

I recently watched BS video where I’m sure I saw that the mirrors folded both backwards and forward (much like my old Jeep XJ). If so, is that only on the Badlands or all trim levels?

Are you talking about powered folding or manual? My 2021 BS mirrors manually fold backwards, which I do when I park on our narrow streets. I was recently dropping my wife somewhere and didn’t fold my mirror and a passing taxi’s mirror whacked mine. Mine didn’t fold forward but he had to get out and reset his passenger mirror because it folded back.

My wife’s Explorer has power folding mirrors and I would love to have them. I understand they started putting power folding mirrors on some trim levels in 2022.

Well based on my experience getting hit, they don’t fold forward… easily!

Correct. However the Wildtrak (Badlands) in some countries has turn signals on the side mirrors which I had way back on my 2015 Escape and was disappointed to not have on my Badlands (along with a list of other things like memory seats, ambient lighting, foot-activated lift gate, etc.)

I don't think so. We have a '23 BS Heritage Limited. No power folding.

Watch that foot activated lift gate. My wife has it on her Explorer and I could never get it to work… until the other day when I was hooking our boat trailer to her car and I got a face full of hatch when connecting the safety chains!

They also have turn signal indicators on the side mirrors. It bugs me that US and Canada don’t have them. My 2015 Escape Titanium had turn signal indicators on the side mirrors.

My '23 Owner's Manual doesn't say much about it and doesn't mention trim levels or folding forward. Maybe they do go forward on some models, but the manual doesn't seem to support doing it. We have an OBX, not at home at the moment, not sure I want to try either if it's not mentioned in the manual. Although CrashBend confirmed both directions on their OBX.

Fold-Away Exterior Mirrors
Push the mirror toward the door window
glass. Make sure that you fully engage the
mirror in its support when returning it to its
original position.
