Day 73 and Production Scheduled

Yesterday, October 12, Day 73 since ordering.
Day 72 since confirmation of my order, I received a Production Build week email and text from Ford with my VIN
Week of December 4th for my Shadow Black BS Badlands.
What does that mean?
2 months until production and at least a month for delivery to my local dealer, if all goes well.
So only 3 more months of waiting.

Production of the '24 Bronco Sports is slated to start October 19th. At least I'm in the production queue now. Ford doesn't assign production on a FIFO system. They have production allocations for each dealer each month, determined by their regional sales of each model.
Since my local dealer is relatively new, having taken over an 87 year old dealership, I had no idea what allocation might be assigned to this dealer, in spite of the dealer owning several other Ford dealerships in the neighboring state. And they keep that information to themselves. Additionally, the dealer assigns a production priority to your order. The good news is that Ford regards retail orders higher than stock orders.
