It’s a radar, so material is mostly irrelevant in that reflectivity and absorption are the critical factors, with angle of incidence also playing a part. Without knowing the frequency or pulse width, it’s hard to estimate the minimum detection threshold.Yeah you would’ve thought something would’ve alerted me about the deer but I think the sensor only picks up metal in objects. Who knew?
Bottom line, radar can track (and cook!) birds, so a deer should be detectable under the right conditions.
