VW Golf Sportwagen, 2023 BS Badlands
Last month I looked into replacing my VW golf Sportwagen for a full size Bronco. The BS BL is a very competent off roader and I often find myself on trails with Jeeps. The biggest downside is clearance.

another reason for looking to upgrade was the BS is a bit tight on space. Kids are still in rear facing seats so the front seats still hit the kids seat. It may improve once they are forward facing. Would
Not be a problem if they could use regular seats.

Lastly, storage space is limited.

I was looking at a Bronco Outerbanks with Sasquatch package. I think that checks all the boxes for me.

Two years ago, I traded my Robin’s Egg Blue Sport Heritage and my rad Ford Ranger in on a full-size Bronco Wildtrak Sasquatch. It’s way more than I need but it’s the coolest rig in town, IMO. I missed my Bronco Sport, tho’ so I just added a 2025 BS desert sand Outer Banks to my garage. They’re two completely different vehicles, but both awesome drives.

I sold my full-size 2dr and have been considering a Sport, possibly a Maverick. The fuel economy with the manual trans and 4-cyl was around 17 combined, hopefully will get more with a Sport! Had my fun, just want something more practical for daily use.

I'm getting just under 23MPG with my Bronco with the 7-speed. Were you running huge tires, a roof rack, a winch and all the other weighty goodies? My 2024 Bronco Sport Big Bend averaged 29MPG - approximately only 7MPG more.

Love My 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB!! I had a 2023 BS BB before the Maverick.

I’m getting 18-20 with my 2 door Heritage with 2.3 and 7MT. With my BS BL I’m getting 22-24 so not a lot more. In all fairness, I’m probably more heavy footed with the Sport than I am with the 2 door, but that is subjective. The 2 door drives more sporty with the 7 mt and doesn’t need as heavy of a foot.

I had the Sasquatch package so pretty big tires! Nothing else though, happy to hear yours is more efficient. Our 35% difference in MPG is wild though.
