That’s a lot of work! How much were the parts altogether 7k? Then your time if you had to pay someone instead. Looking at the damage and What was torn down I would say that was a $18k repair If you took it into a body shop.
Yes it was a LOT of work! I got around $30-$35k in this thing all together now. I didn’t make out too well on this one, but the experience and knowledge I gained almost makes it worth it all. Before this the closest I ever came to this level of removal and replacement on an automobile was replacing the engine on my 1988 Ford Ranger around 20 years ago. I do have lots of experience disassembling and reassembling helicopters though LOL.
The only issue I have is there’s a CEL and an airbag light and they are both related having something to do with a seatbelt pretensioner. I have read that this is a problem with these and many other vehicles. I just have to find time between full time school and work and family to track down which one it is.

Would love to see a thread of poignant observations made about the vehicle, its body, its suspensions, its parts or drivetrain from this experience. This type of work does breed an excellence in understanding.
The unibody framework is some uber tough stuff that takes a super expensive drillbit to drill out the spot welds. I wish I could get the story of how this thing was wrecked, because it was bad, and I just don’t understand how that tough frame got tweeted like it did, but only the driver seatbelt locked and knee airbag went off. The suspension is crap though, and it’s amazing that it can even support the vehicle. The engine mounts are pretty crappy too. The charcoal canister is in a horrible place only protected by that underbelly carpet crap that covers the whole bottom of the vehicle. I could tell you all kinds of things about this vehicle and how it’s put together.

i just got my vehicle back from the shop last Friday. It took the shop 3 months to fix it since they were fighting with the insurance company over the repairs. My body shop won since I intervened and made myself the squeaky wheel and was relentless in having them fix the vehicl. They honestly were trying their best to brush the whole thing aside. 2-3 supplements (estimates) later it got fixed.
Don't you Love Insurance Companies you pay and pay for Insurance along with all of their other Clients they have. But when you need you car fixed after an accident they want to cheap out and not fix thinks right.
