Yes it was a LOT of work! I got around $30-$35k in this thing all together now. I didn’t make out too well on this one, but the experience and knowledge I gained almost makes it worth it all. Before this the closest I ever came to this level of removal and replacement on an automobile was replacing the engine on my 1988 Ford Ranger around 20 years ago. I do have lots of experience disassembling and reassembling helicopters though LOL.That’s a lot of work! How much were the parts altogether 7k? Then your time if you had to pay someone instead. Looking at the damage and What was torn down I would say that was a $18k repair If you took it into a body shop.
The only issue I have is there’s a CEL and an airbag light and they are both related having something to do with a seatbelt pretensioner. I have read that this is a problem with these and many other vehicles. I just have to find time between full time school and work and family to track down which one it is.
