Hey everyone, super stoked to be joining the BS club soon.

I wanted to ask if anyone has installed blind spot mirrors to their side view mirrors yet. Has anyone found any out there that fit along the side mirror trim without covering the BLIS? I've used circular mirrors for our Escape previously.

Why add a mirror when you have a literal sensor doing it for you?

Good question. I guess it's always good to double check. I found the blind spot mirrors let you see two lanes away in the case another vehicle is merging into the same lane as you. The mirrors are also helpful when parking as they will let you see the ground beside your vehicle.

I’ve used the little round stick on mirrors many times with many different vehicles and they work.
Not using them on my BS because IMO the only place they’d work is right over that sensor.
Besides between my three mirrors I have no blind spots.
As for seeing the tire/ ground contact points I’m good there as I’ve learned where those spots are without actually seeing them. Plus my rear camera’s wide angle, I see the tire track as I back up.

I don't think the sensor is in the mirror, but you don't want to place your blindspot mirror where it would blank out the amber indicator light. "BLIS uses radar sensors on both sides near the rear of the vehicle. When a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, you are alerted with an indicator light in the side view mirror. "

Sensors are typically in the taillight housing, they were on my F150.

I check my mirror and glance over my shoulder to make sure the lane is clear, rarely use the BLiS system.

I'm currently testing out these on the bottom outside corners of my mirrors

I am getting used to them and I like them so far. I'm the same way, I have the sensor but I want to actually see what's there as well, especially since I put limo tint on my rear windows. I have yet to go through the car wash, so can't say if they'll last yet.

I went into Ford cause my sensors were not working on cold mornings. The service writer told me they were in the mirror right with the little yellow symbol that pops up, the ones for the vehicles offsides of your flanks passing you or you passing them.
I got a frost guard windshield cover and it comes with mirror bags.
I haven’t had a single alert since I started bagging my mirrors on cold mornings.
