With all the bad news, I thought I would post some good about my battery recall experience. I have a 2021 OB with around 70k miles. Had to replace the battery after about 2 years as it nearly left me stranded.
Fast forward to this week...Dealer finally notified me they had the parts for the recall. I set up a Mobile Service appointment (surprised they offered it!) thinking they would check that I had already replaced the battery with an AGM and maybe update software. At the least I was hoping I could get some reimbursement for already replacing it.
Tech showed up, within 30 minutes he replaced the battery and did the updates, even clearing the fault from the evap. solenoid issue I replaced several days earlier. Totally unexpected!!
With all the issues, at least there is a glimmer of sunshine from time to time!
