Hey all,

Have just over 5000 miles on my BS Big Bend, for the last few months my bronco will go completely dead and then need a jump start. No idea what is causing the issue and when I brought it in for service they couldn’t find anything wrong and said the battery checked out fine. Once I jump it, it seems to work fine for a few days before it goes dead again.
Anyone experiencing anything similar?

Bad battery. Take it to another dealer or some where else to have it checked.

Ask your dealership service department to perform a battery load test, not just a voltage test. A load test applies a load to the battery for a given time while monitoring voltage. Too great a voltage drop and the battery needs to be replaced. Many here have had issues similar to your, and as far as I know they've all been traced to bad batteries. The issues are resolved with a new battery.

Hi there. This power concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Bronco Sport. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

I just got my ‘21 BL back from the dealer yesterday. It has 5300 kms. Twice last week while I was stopped at a traffic light, foot on brake, it shut down and shifted into park. Kind of scary. Anyway, dealer couldn’t replicate but said my battery wasn’t charging well and replaced it. They said that while on a road test, my auto stop/start wasn’t working and works with the new battery. I don’t use it so I wouldn’t have known.
