Depends. If it's something you want and you have plenty of money, is it foolish? Some people don't care about cost or resale, they want what they want and just get it. Lots of things I buy on a weekly basis would be considered "foolish" by others.

Some people would consider letting a mere $8k keep you from having your new baby Bronco the foolish move. I'm just not in their income bracket. :frown:
I leased a 2018 challenger GT. a lease was my only option at that point. As I was reviewing paperwork a car hauler showed up in the lot with a new demon challenger (MSRP $89K) my dealer said he'd be right back, he had to get the keys...the hauler was there to pick up his SECOND Demon. Each dealer was only allocated one. The guy paid $125K CASH for both of them....dealer said God knows how many more he's going to pick up as he laughed somewhat sheepishly. A)I was afraid to touch the demon for fear I'd be charged $50 solicitation fees...B)...at $70K OVER msrp assuming he just paid for two...in cash. I'd guess he stored or flipped both of them and still made some money.

In Puerto Rico that is the price, I have even saw BS for over $55K. For not being in the mainland and because of taxes, cars are more expensive here, could have easily 10-20% if not a luxury car. To give you a perspective: BSBL I paid $48K, a base Bronco $63K, an Expedition >$104K. But so far my BL seems an excellent buy! BTW we do not have the stiker price further increased by more taxes and despite insurance is mandatory, we can get the basic coverage requested by law from $99.
