I found some great advice as to installing a dash cam. But instead of trying to follow the trim along the dash, remove the a pillar by pulling up then back. Remove fuse panel, then lower the glove box by pushing in on the the square panels on the inside of the glove box. This will make the next step easier. Find a insulated wire that you can now fish from the forward part of the a pillar trim. There is plenty of room to lower your "fish" then simply tape your camera wire connection then pull the wire up thru the dash, the up to your camera. Keep your wire in front of the air bag. Then simply tuck your wire up to the camera. I hope this helps.
