I am experiencing my steering wheel shaking when I Use my breaks, does anyone else have this problem? I do on occasion accelerate and slow down rapidly sometimes so I think it may be my break pads or rotors that might have gotten messed up due to pressure or high temperatures.

Could be rotors or brake pad remnants sticking to the rotors. Find an open road without any traffic or large empty parking lot and perform a few hard stops to get the rotors hot and see if if it clears up the issue.

Something happened to ours after getting our tires swapped. One tire had a nail go through the sidewall.

The steering wheel shaking was noticed at speeds above 40mph. A little different from what you said you are experiencing.

The wheels may need to be rebalanced.

I've had the same issue in the past with an old Mazda 3 with more than 200k miles. In order to prevent bigger issues and expensive repairs I would go to the dealer ASAP to diagnose it.
