If you have hood struts, which lift the hood more than the prop, you can lift the wiper arms with the hood open. Just be sure to put them back before closing the hood. This is nice for applying a windshield treatment.
Saying PPF prevents dents is probably overkill, dings yes. I think of it as a laminate which the plastic sheeting is...and like any laminate it makes the material it is adhered to stronger. After reading about the aluminum hoods with out the bumpers adjusted I am wonder how PPF would affect...
No won't be bullet proof or even beetle proof. A beetle impact at 70 not only makes a paint chip but leaves a dent, at least with out good PPF. Had an ASCMcLaren (Mustang) that proved it.
BTW: if you get a repaint for $3500 its not a good repaint.
Not 10% but it's getting there BS, BL + BL + 360+ + tow, +. Then look at the price of a windshield, or a headlight assembly. How about just getting paint chips fixed. They are all really expensive. Especially the paint chips when done properly. Sure you can touch up, but tell me you don't...

Hi Jim and Others,
My BS came into the dealership today. I had the salesman take one of his magnetic business cards to the passenger front fender in the engine compartment. The panel is steel not aluminum. Thus I maintain that part of the paint chipping issue is the use of the hardened steel...

It’s hard to say on the door cups, because I haven’t installed any on the Bronco yet, so I’m not sure how big the coverage is, but It would if the film covers that area.
As far as the hood goes I’d say that’s from the wipers hitting the paint when they are lifted up. A way...
I am sure they are all aluminum then. It would be to expensive to change over. I asked early( months are on this forum) but nobody responded. Thank you for your answer. I will get mine next month and that will be the first real hands on for me. It still keeps my choice of PPF and Ceramic...
Oh with the paint issues I thought that 2021 Ford Bronco's New Lightweight Steel Might Make Ford Reconsider Its Aluminum Trucks (thedrive.com) applied to the sport as well.
I just emailed my PPF and ceramic coating guy with a couple of ThruDark s pics asking if the door handle pocket would have covered the door nick and if ceramic coating would have helped the rear hood lip. I also asked about ceramic coating keeping the swirls out of the black plastic pillar covers.
Damn...not even in areas where I would expect chips, like the front edges. rocker panels etc. The last one with it under the rear lip of the hood...that has to be more than the steel alloy from ArcelorMittal. The harder the steel the poorer the paint adhesion, but this is more than that. Did...
