Hi!
What options would I have for a Bronco Sport grille that doesn't have the BRONCO cutouts? I thought about removing the letters, removing the grille face, filling with epoxy and then sanding down, but that seems like a great way to mess it up. I could order a separate grille to experiment...
Mounting tomorrow! Spending tonight going over in many layers of plasti dip to fill in grooves before sealing with a light satin/gloss combo for the shine.
I'd be more than willing to pay for a filament print of those letters. I'm still not confident resin will hold up to the elements. I'd pay $$ or even trade a resin print. My profile picture is an example of what I've printed and painted myself.
Some imperfections that make me want to reprint, and I think even though the paint seems to hold fine, I'd like to plastidip after install just to get a smooth layer.
They held up fine, but I can see why it would make sense to make the letters thicker after comparing to the stock letters.
So all the shops I spoke with were quoting upwards of $700 to machine these due to the size and individual letters. I opted to resin print them and keep them a bit thinner than the stock letters. They finished today, I just need to clean up any leftover supports.
I'll put 3M automotive tape on...
My color scheme is the Area 51 with the Ebony/Roast interior and it seemed fitting to put ROGERS, or ON YOUR LEFT, or something similar on the back in place of BRONCO SPORT. Because, y'know, Captain America.
This is a great idea! I'm not sure how to create the files for 3D printing. My alternative would have just been vinyl decal in place of the raised lettering.
Hello!
I'd like to remove the BRONCO SPORT lettering off the badlands model I picked up and replace them with custom letters, ideally in the same script. I'm having trouble tracking down after market letters for this that aren't vinyl coverings. Do you have any suggestions? I could do vinyl at...
