I got this one and really like it. I got mine through Ford using some of my points, Amazon has it also but it's a little more expensive.

I went with a lower profile deflector that I’m happy with. I’m in Houston with tons of traffic and lots of big rigs, don’t have to be tailgating to get window chips on the highways here especially on the industrial side of town. It’s pretty much inevitable to get one at some point but luckily...
Likewise. I’m not concerned with the bug protection from it, but more so the rock chips to my windshield and front of my hood. The Aeroskin II seems like it’d provide more protection than the low profile ones.
I may install it just to see if it makes that much of a difference. I do prefer the Aeroskin II over the regular Aeroskin. Worse thing I'll have to do is remove it if it's too much.
That's my thing, I'm in Houston and our freeways suck and I'm always getting rocks to the hood and windshield, so I thought the Aeroskin II would be a good idea. I've noticed the hood shakes enough sometimes just in driving, I don't need something else to make it worse. I've seen an Aeroskin...
For those of you who've installed the Aeorskin II, I've read that it causes a lot of wind noise and the hood rattles at highway speeds. What's your opinion on it? I bought one (not installed yet) and I'm now rethinking the decision.
Absent minded is the last thing I am. I've driven some of the worst traffic in the Houston area for many years; by always being aware and alert and have successfully avoided having any accidents all without having this thing blaring when I brake harder than what Ford apparently thinks is normal...
Lol! I think there should be an option to turn it off permanently, should be up to the driver. That alert alone will cause an accident, it took all of my focus off the road trying to figure out wth was going on inside my vehicle.
I know from what I’ve read, that this can’t be “turned off” but you can turn off the active breaking (which I’ve done) and adjust the alerts. To me, this pre collision feature is more likely to cause me to get into an accident. I live in Houston where traffic sucks and you’re often coming to...
Though it has to be done each time you start the vehicle, you can turn off the Auto/Start Stop...which is what I do since I don't care for that option.
