Just brought in my 23 OB. 16K miles. First time in for service, brought in for the two recalls: fuel injector drain tube (24S16 and 24S24). After about an hour, the dealer called to tell me I needed a new water pump as well and that it wouldn't be available until tomorrow. I knew nothing...
I feel really stupid, but the manual doesn't really lay this out that I can tell, and it doesn't make sense as a fuel gauge, or any other gauge that I can tell. What does the blue-circled gauge measure?
This seems pretty weird. I picked mine up (built Dec. 13th) on January 31st. I was worried about this and got the dealer to give me his report on the car from Ford which said it was fine. (I kept a copy of the report.) NHTSA recall website still gives nothing. I continue to assume that this...
I use AAwireless which worked flawlessly in my old Escape and has worked for the one week I've had my BS. My only regret is no networked USB in the console. You have to use one of the ones in the media tray.
I hear you, but that's true of just about everything in the car. The question is whether they can spend an extra $2 and charge an extra $10. I would have gladly paid an extra $50 to have networked ports in the console. There are other features I've paid a lot for (cruise control for example)...
Thanks. But that really seems like something that could have been avoided for roughly 0$, especially since it worked so well on the Escape. I've done a pretty good job of hiding the connection, but there's nothing you can do about a terminal sticking out.
After 20 hours of ownership, I'm very pleased. But there is one thing that seems worse than my 2017 Escape, unless I'm missing something. I use Android Auto, and have been using the AAWireless device so that I don't have to plug it in when I get in the car. In my old Escape, the USB port in...
I went there, and it wasn't listed but that site also says:
What this VIN search tool will not show
There may be a delay with very recently announced safety recalls for which not all VINs have been identified. VINs are added continuously so please check regularly
So since this recall was...
Yeah, but they sent me the OASIS report which, contrary to this news, says there is no outstanding work. To quote my dealer: "Reviewing that document that you sent over it says call or contact your nearest Ford dealer so they can review the recall on there [sic] on-line automotive service...
So I'm supposed to pick up my OBX built on 12/13 tomorrow. I called the dealer and he says he sees nothing about this. I sent him the linked recall and hope he gets back to me today. But I think it's really weird to announce a recall of cars that haven't been sold yet and let them go off hte...
Good news and bad news. My BS arrived today in Vermont! The dealer said he checked and the computer told him it was still in Albany, NY, but when his delivery came today, there it was!
The bad news is that I'm in the ABS recall window. They're going to call me back on Monday to give me an...
Thanks, Karen... You inspired me to call Ford again, and it turns out mine is in Albany, about 50 miles from the dealership, and they now say it will get there by Friday. (Of course, we're in the midst of two stormstorms up here in the Berkshires, so I suspect Friday really means sometime next...
And, as I had not hoped, but expected:
"Your vehicle’s previous estimated delivery range of January 13, 2023, and January 19, 2023, has been updated to between February 11, 2023, and February 17, 2023."
So I guess January 16th is out. Given the delay in notifying about shipment, which is what...
