Update: They replaced the missing serpentine belt and once it was back on, they said everything went back to running normally. They didn't see that the water pump was damaged, I was told the pressure built up when the belt came off and it sprayed coolant. They have no idea why the belt came off...

The temperature ga My temperature gauge was maxed out. I got alerts on my Ford pass app and on my car that the engine was overheating. I was driving on a small residential road and could not get pulled over immediately.

I know it happens but the drive belt did not have any wear so the question becomes what would make the drivebelt break.

Ford assured me they will cover the costs and have the car repaired. I guess it is good I haven't found anyone else with the same issues. The dealer worked with Enterprise for a rental, but it is an Altima that smells like cigarettes. Not anything like my pretty new BS.

I have to trust the dealer and Ford to make it right. I just wonder if this has happened to anyone else's Bronco Sport and if so what caused it. I hope you are correct about the engine.
