Thank you so much!!! Glad I got that HRG lift coming then. I will deal with / drive it very limited the next 2-3 days until I get it put on. I wish I wasn’t such a forgiving / nieve person. I should’ve never put it on after I saw some of the reviews.
Hey everyone!
As you know Rough Country has had some rather glaring issues since launching their lift kit over a year ago at this point. My wife and I recently upgraded the look of our Bronco Sport with Falken Wildpeak AT Tires, The RC Nudge Bar, and the 1.5” RC lift kit. The reason I went with...
Hey! I know this is a few months later but do you still rock the RC lift?? How’s it holding up?? Mine has severe clanking. Only has about 30-40 in town miles. Started clanking about 1.5 days after we got it out on at our shop. When you said you had yours tightened is that what you meant too? Did...
Just wondering if you ever fixed that by tightening it or if you’re still running the RC lift? I just recently put one on over a year after this video it looks like and within ~40 hours my has clanking in the front left side maybe right, or even both. Just wondering what you did? I ordered the...
Curious as to how long your Rough Country lift holds up, I installed mine this week and ~40 hrs later and about 30-40 in town miles it has severe front rattle already. Sway bars are in tact, so I’m assuming it’s the design of the space on the strut (that almost everyone else is complaining...
Same here. Rough Country is exactly what their name says. Rough. I had a lift and suspension system on my 2009 Chevy Silverado and never noticed anything in the 4 years I had it. After doing more research and digging into them it looks like they are a notoriously bad company. Makes me wonder if...
Maybe I will try something like that, the only issue I have is I purchased the lift separate from my shop and brought it to them. Is that kind of the same situation you had? Or did you have the shop purchase the lift and put it on? It’s scary that dealerships are putting the RC lift on Broncos...
I will probably have the shop throw it away completely as I don’t want to scam or put anyone else in this situation. ? the hardest part is this is a daily driver so I’m stuck in the position of trying to limit my driving while I wait for the HRG one to come in and able to schedule an...
Thanks so much! The Bronco is my first vehicle I’ve ever bought brand new and the first vehicle I’ve ever tried to modify and add too. I love it. The RC lift kit is a huge NO GO and honestly it’s shameful they continue to sell it a year later. I learned my lesson though and will be ordering the...
Did you have to grind down any of the struts for this HRG kit? I bought the RC lift as well and was nieve to think maybe they had fixed it by now. Nope. 24 hrs out of the shop severe clunking and has me wondering if I can even continue to Drive it. I don’t want to void a warranty or grind down...
Thanks so much, maybe I’ll update y’all in a week or so. You’ve all been a great help. Glad we are all in the business of loving our bronco sports
I just want to make sure you’ve had 100% no issues with the HRG one? I know they offer lifetime gurantee no strut rattle. But just want to make sure. I have always been a huge car guy from the outside and looking at them and how the look but have never been able to learn about the mechanical...
Thanks so much for that Adam! I wish I would’ve saw the HRG one before I bought the RC. I’m definitely ordering the HRG in the coming days and going to have RC replaced.
And yes I’ve seen some of the threads about the Rough Country lift, it sucks because I had already purchased the lift before I found this forum. Lesson learned though. Buy quality to enjoy quality. Rough Country will be a no for me and my BS.
I totally agree. I may order the HRG lift that has a lifetime gurantee and have them put it on and sell the RC or just throw it away as I don’t want anyone else to have the same experience. Super disappointing but it’s what needs to be done. Atleast then I Know HRG means business
I’m sorry to hear that! My Bull Bar looks really good on our BS. The lift kit is just an extreme disappointment. I understand RC isn’t the “premium” brand when it comes to lifts but you’d think it’d last longer than ~ 40 hours… it’s extremely disappointing.
Well here I am, we installed the lift kit and added on 245/65/R18 Falken Wild Peak AT tires with the Rough Country Nudge Bar and the Bronco Sport looks Bad***! However, it’s only been about 35-36ish hours and the lift is already having horrible rattling. We have driven it maybe 30 miles in town...
