I am stuck at around 22-24.5 mpg - i haven't noticed anything wrong with the vehicle - it seems to be responsive and accelerates fine i think - but I read that it could have something to do with the engine changing from 2 to 3 cylinders, or something like that? I can't tell when it changes, is...
Any in the NorCal area? I'm looking to get out some as soon as the weather clears a bit, but would rather not fret about my novice-level experience on the trails.
Thoughts?
I noticed the noise from my BS/BB on our first road trip. This along with some faint clicks and whirls when reducing speed had me wondering what was going on. I plan to have it looks at when I take it in for it's first oil change.
QUESTION: When I was driving home from the tire shop the PSI sensors picked up the pressure at 43 all around, give or take a point or two - confirmed just now with a pen gauge.
The door label says PSI for the 225s should be 33 PSI. Does the extra size for the 235s make that much of a difference?
Thanks! I'm pretty stoked about it tbh.
After reading some of the threads on these forums, I made it a priority to get a legit set of tires installed on the B.Sport.
I'm curious to see how these guys do off pavement, or in the snow.
So I picked up a set of 235/65/17 AT3Ws.
Confirmed the tread isn't as aggressive as photos shown on various retail sites.
I read somewhere that is the case in this size, but it's no big deal; it's a huge difference from the CONTIs I had from the dealer. The ride is noticeably improved...
I would expect the ol' dirt road, with bumps and rocks... sand, rain, mud, snow, etc.
I guess at this point I would need some sort of AT to handle these conditions, but is the AT3W overkill for the Bronco Sport Big Bend, or would the AT Trail suffice? I wasn't able to see a direct comparison...
So I was researching tires on the BS and literally out the door on my way to the local tire shops to check pricing and availability for a set of 235 AT3Ws and/or AT Trails for my BS/BB when I happened upon this video that shows a BS/OB doing pretty darn well (almost to the limits of the vehicle)...
Hail from Sacramento!
Having just purchased our BS/BB at the first of the month, we are looking forward to seeing some of the backcountry wonders this part of the state has to offer.
We are overjoyed with how this vehicle handles on pavement; however that is as far as my experience with a...
My BS/BB has barely 160m on it, so I've yet to get new tires or anything. I'm glad to see that a properly equipped BS can keep up with the big boys.
For some reason the capability of the BS is minimized-maybe due to its pedigree-but to me in the right hands it looks like a fully capable machine.
