Per Major Kong's post, it's winter and the truck has to stay on to keep the interior temp comfortable. Just like plugging in a night light will also stop it from working.
You're all good, but if you want to go to a dealer for fun, go for it.. lol

Their site looks down but try the phone number.
It's a seller's market... so, if you have something you can sell and still something else you can drive until it's a buyer's market again... win win...
Well, worth a shot. When forscan is available that can be used. Sorry for not providing a similar result as the Ranger, sure looked like the same setup.
It monitors your battery so it won't stop then not have enough juice to start again, leaving you stranded in traffic.
There are some on the ranger site that have done this for months with no issues.
In the Ranger, there's a plug to the negative side of the battery that some have un-plugged and it stopped the SS feature. It's the battery management feature and basically disables the SS feature if it detects your battery is low. Disconnecting basically tells it it's always low and disables...
Lol good then it should just be a matter of a couple file, if this is similar to what the Rangers are seeing, but I couldn't say how similar the software is across models...they look the same but that doesn't always mean anything.

A lot of talk about this on the Ranger forum. When you turn off your vehicle and you have it set to access your home wifi, it will try downloading updates for up to 30 mins I think.
If it's a simple sync update it's usually 1 or 2 files and pretty fast. If you have nav, it's 10-13 very large...
Here we go, similar text in the Ranger manual:
Any of the following conditions could result in an automatic restart of the engine if:
The blower fan speed increases or the climate control temperature changes.
You plug in or switch on an electrical accessory.
Hi all. I currently have a 2019 Ranger w/Auto Start/Stop.
I hate it... lol.. so, I read in the manual it would be disabled if you plugged in a laptop to charge via the 110 outlet. So, I decided to try an LED nightlight and that did the trick. Not all of them will work so it took me 2 or 3...
