Do not know it never refused to start after refueling. Also they suggest not to overfill. When the pump auto shuts off, do not top off. I guess it causes fuel to backwash to the purge vavle.
Make sure your fuel door flap is CLEAN. I had an evap code popping every 4-5 days (clear and return) and noone could figure it out as everything tested perfect. I cleaned the seal around the fuel door and the code went away and has not returned in months
When the battery decides to go.....it goes dramatically.
All 3 of my cars lost their battery this summer. The bronco battery was 2.5 years old. Lead acid. Replaced with AGM.
Thats nuts. I will have to see if the CEL corresponds in timing will getting gas. (It may but now I will have to clear the code and actively keep track)
I will, but the shop I use talked to their Ford people and was told that they couldn't duplicate either and was just throwing parts at it until the CEL goes away.
I have the same code. Had it diagnosed and smoke checked. All valves were working. It has become an intermittent CEL that goes away. It will disappear for a month, then return. Then go away.
So after a while of troubleshooting, the true problem showed itself. Seems a dead/dying battery will create ALL sorts of Havoc on these vehicles. I replaced the battery and for the last 5 days ZERO codes, ZERO issues.
Mine just did the same thing this morning. It has been sitting for several days, so I will be putting the battery on charge this evening and see if that changes anything. I hit 60k miles and things start falling apart. This is BS
code: p2603 - coolant pump 'a' control circuit high
and
code: p2601 - coolant pump 'a' control circuit performance/stuck off
CEL lit up. no increase in temp. Still blows hot if selected. A/c working fine, and no loss of coolant
Reset the ode. went away for a week and then came back.
Why...
The amp went under the back seat drivers side. There is a bass knob installed (small one non intrusive) at my right knee area. The combination of the PB speakers in the doors and this sub is amazing and just what i was looking for.
I think I have read that the spare well is not a good choice. I am just getting a stand alone box with sub. I know I will take a cargo hit, but it has a disconnect at the sub if I really need the space. The amp, I think they are going to put it under the back seat somewhere. I will post...
