  1. FIRST EDITION Thread

FWIW — I’ve got the question out to my dealer to understand the actual packaging of FE... again, I’d be surprised if it’s not “fully loaded” based on the principle of what First Editions are all about, but we certainly need to know if this is indeed the case or not. I’m 100% canceling and going...
  2. AT vs Winter Tires, Real World Experience

I’ve never had AT tires and always run on dedicated winter tires between November and April. I’ve gathered online that snow rated ATs are better than all season in snow/ice but not as good as dedicated winter tires. Can anyone share their personal experiences with ATs vs winter tires? Are...
  3. Would you choose Bronco 4 doors or Bronco sport?

We’ve had two Foresters, one a turbo and another a current generation Forester Sport. The turbo (XT) was really fun to drive. The Sport is awesome — I expected it to be underpowered but it’s not. We live off a long unpaved road that can be tricky in winter and in mud season — the current gen...
  4. Base and Outer Banks models out in the wild

Helpful to see it (if only briefly) next to a Grand Cherokee for overall perspective. Thank you for posting.
  5. FIRST EDITION Thread

It also wouldn’t surprise me to see rain sensing wipers (already listed on Outer Banks), homelink (because it’s been standard for like forever on so many lesser vehicles) and a 360 camera view (because we know it has at least front and rear cameras and they’re already marketing something called...
  6. FIRST EDITION Thread

They’ve billed FE as the combination of “all the luxury/tech goodies of the Outer Banks trim + all the capability of the Badlands trim.” My guess is that this description will turn out to be true in order to justify the price and that we’re just seeing pre-production sloppiness in the marketing...
  7. FIRST EDITION Thread

Pretty sure FE has adaptive cruise control with stop and go and lane centering.... this means you can take your hands off for a few seconds. Very similar to the Subaru Eyesight system, Volvo Pilot Assist, Toyota/Lexus systems, etc.
  8. Would you choose Bronco 4 doors or Bronco sport?

I always wear cross bars to hold a ski rack and noise has never been an issue for me without the ski rack on (and not too bad with the ski rack). Things start to get more noisy for me when I put the roof box on.
  9. Would you choose Bronco 4 doors or Bronco sport?

For the record, stating fears vs trying to be argumentative (I’ve got a FE on “order”... in quotes because reservation was converted to 1K order but color and anything else that might become a choice won’t need to be specified until closer to production date ... shrug ). I’m not sure how...
  10. Current 2021 Bronco Sport Lease Residual Values

I assume we’re talking lease residuals here vs projected market resale values. If this is the case, the lower residual value theoretically would make it a better deal to buy the vehicle at the end of lease. Of course, this means higher payments during the life of the lease — I assume that’s...
  11. Would you choose Bronco 4 doors or Bronco sport?

I think there’s a pretty broad set of vehicles to cross shop — Forester Sport, (previously mentioned) Passport, several Jeep models (Renegade, Compass, Cherokee), 4 Runner, RAV 4 Adventure, maybe even a Discovery Sport. It’s hard to tell how the Bronco Sport fits In until more in the wild...
  12. Another AREA 51 Bronco Sport Badlands sighting - best look yet

This reminds of the gunmetal pearl on the late 90s Cherokee Sport Classics. The color looked great and aged very well. Gunmetal
