Great build!
Since you seem to be the pathfinder on larger tires on the sport I hope you don't mind this question... What do you think the feasibility of wider then 245 tires are? Say 265/65R17 with a more aggressive offset than stock? That would be a 30.5" diameter and 10.5" inch wide tire. I...
Agreed. The Lincoln PHEV system, Area 51 with the active orange accents (depending on how they look) would be my preferred configuration but if its going to take tell the middle of next year to get it then forget it...
The lack of hybrid options existing in the ordering system is worrying to me.... I am tired of these damn "delayed" launches for hybrid models Ford is pulling... Just release them all at once.
With such a small change, it could simply be a different suspension geometry (more tuned for off road) that creates the shorter wheelbase. No actual change to the platform, just suspension and sheet metal.
I just want to know the specs already.... Powertrains, price point, trim levels, etc..... If they include the Lincoln corsair PHEV AWD powertrain in the Bronco Sport PHEV and price it around $35K I'm in!
What would be nice is some sort of size comparison or reference.... I am guessing it is about the same size as the current 2020 Escape due to it being based off of the same platform.
I just don't see the 1.5 being powerful enough for an off-road oriented vehicle. It's ok for a vehicle like the escape but not off-road capable IMO. Paper specs are fine and comparable to the Jeep but torque below turbo spool will be key, something a 1.5L 3 cylinder doesn't have.
That would be nice. So maybe the 2.0 is the base engine, then 2.3, then the hybrid models. In terms of power, 240-250 for the 2.0, 280-300 for 2.3, and 230-270 for mild and plug in hybrids. I can't see them offering anything but AWD for everything except maybe the base model.
I am thinking they might slip in the 2.3L EcoBoost instead of the 2.0 for the Scout. I also hope that they up the power on the Hybrid model compared to the Escape... Maybe something like 225hp/230tq. What will be interesting to see is if they have a plug in Hybrid model that retains AWD (The...
